Bio

Sue is an experienced primary practitioner who has worked for 20 years throughout the primary age phase as a teacher, curriculum leader, English specialist, District NQT trainer, SENCO, Assistant Head teacher, Deputy Head teacher and as a Head Teacher. Sue has been a leading English teacher in Hampshire providing consultative services to other schools to improve the quality and standards of English teaching.

Sue has led the Basingstoke Deputy Head Teachers group for a period of two years. Sue developed and pioneered the creative curriculum for Marnel Junior School in 2007. Sue has led this initiative for over 10 years to drive educational success at Marnel and inspire the personal growth and development of the children as individuals and socially.Ofsted recently concluded that the curriculum is especially innovative and stimulating and pupils are excited and enthusiastic about their learning and that the leadership of teaching is formidable. (July 2016).

As Deputy Head teacher at Marnel, Sue was praised by Ofsted for her leadership skills and for providing pupils with an innovative and stimulating curriculum which prepared pupils well for life. Sue went on to become Head Teacher at Marnel before joining Aspire in 2020 as a Director and Company Secretary on a part-time basis.
