Post Acquisition 100 Day planning exercise
A Global PE firm acquired one of the largest Pharmaceuticals firms in the USA and wanted to understand current state of the IT landscape. A current state analysis was conducted to determine the existence of improvement opportunities that could be exploited by utilising technology as an enabler for change. The Aspire founder was also engaged to lead two high priority systems search and selection projects.
Conducted Current State Assessment of IT landscape. Interviewed Systems and Operations Manager and Business Functional Directors and Senior Managers. Identified business and IT synergies and developed high level business case for change. Worked with the Systems and Business Operations manager to understand current Organisation and Operating Model and positioned improvements. Developed a programme structure for systems search and selection exercises with client and mobilised internal project team to assist. Identified integration risks and issues and suggested resolution approaches.
Identified IT synergies and improvement opportunities. On completion of the current state assessment work over 60 IT related improvement projects were identified. Provided experience, insights and knowledge to help determine prioritisation of improvement projects identified. Provided a framework for conducting both the current state assessment work and the system search and selection projects. Developed a trusted advisor relationship with the Client 100 Day Plan Project Lead (Systems & Operations Manager). Ensured control and effective risk management.
