Business & Technology Strategy Review To Drive Performance Improvement Programme

Client Need

The Board of one of the UK’s largest healthcare providers had initiated a business wide transformation programme to transform the organisation to a one best way process and wanted to use technology as an enabler for the change. The existing technology estate was driving inefficient operations and driving up operational costs as previous mergers and acquisitions were creating duplication, misaligned practices and unnecessary complexity across the business group.

Our Approach

The Aspire founder was engaged to lead a business and technology strategy review to look at how the people, process and technology challenges could be addressed in an aligned manner. The team deployed conducted over 30 interviews with key functional leads across all business areas.

Outcome Delivered

The Aspire founder led the delivery of the business and technology strategy review presented to the board of directors. A programme of 10 workstreams and 60 projects was recommended to the board and an initial cost-benefit analysis was completed. The technology transformation roadmap storyboard was presented together with detailed plans for each workstream and project. Tangible benefits were forecast at £61.5m, plus £13.5m in business growth benefits and £42.6m Intangible benefits. Costs of delivery were estimated at £39.5m giving a minimum net tangible benefit of £22.5 million.
